Ghanaian musician Showboy has cautioned Abu Trica over recent social media activity following his release from police custody.
In a video circulating online, Showboy advised Abu Trica to be measured in his public comments and avoid actions that could complicate his legal situation.
“You want to tell the world you’re back. Abu, you’re strong, you’re a gangster, you’re smart, but right now you’re being childish, so be careful,” he said.
He further warned that Abu Trica should treat his case with seriousness, stressing that it involves legal issues beyond Ghana.
“You’re going against the United States of America if no one has told you. When you get to America, you will realize your case is United States of America versus you, so cool down,” he added.
Abu Trica, known in private life as Frederick Kumi, was released on Friday, May 15, 2026, after meeting bail conditions set at GH¢30 million with two sureties.
He had been in custody since December 2025 in connection with an ongoing extradition request by the United States linked to allegations of an $8 million romance scam and money laundering case.
His release has since sparked reactions on social media, with Showboy urging him to remain cautious as legal proceedings continue.
