Ghanaian gospel musician, popularly known as Adwoa Power, has opened up about her admiration for dancehall artiste Shatta Wale revealing her hopes of collaborating him musicians in the future.

Speaking in an interview on the Oyerepa Breakfast Show, Adwoa Power disclosed that if she were given the opportunity to work with secular artistes, Shatta Wale and Sarkodie would be her preferred choices.

According to the singer, Shatta Wale is widely misunderstood by many Ghanaians, insisting that some of his songs contain spiritual messages and teachings about God.

She described the award-winning dancehall musician as “a real man of God,” explaining that listeners who pay close attention to his lyrics would understand the deeper meanings behind some of his songs.

“Shatta Wale is a man of God — a real man of God — but many Ghanaians do not know that. Shatta has a particular song which, if you listen carefully to the lyrics, you will realise he is preaching the word of God,” she said.

Adwoa Power further praised the musician for his dedication and passion for music, stating that his songs carry a strong sense of purpose and energy.

“So, I hope that one day I will have a song with him or Sarkodie. Although there are some of his songs I would not listen to, I still believe Shatta is a man of God. I see God’s ways in him,” she added.

The musician also shared her opinion on gospel and secular music, arguing that both genres speak about life and human experiences.

“If you are spiritually discerning, you will realise that the things he talks about are not just ordinary words. That is how music is. So, it does not matter whether the music is gospel or secular. Personally, I do not see much difference between them because they all talk about life,” she clarified.
