Ghanaian hiplife and hip-hop artiste Emmanuel Kofi Botwe, known in showbiz as Kwaw Kese, has responded to dancehall and Afrobeat star Shatta Wale after the musician publicly appealed for a serious investor to support his music career.

Shatta Wale recently took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to express concern about financing his music independently, stating that he now requires a strong investor to continue his career. He added that without such support, he may consider stepping away from music to focus on his other business ventures.

“Where I have gotten with my career now, I think I need a serious investor on board because I can’t do this alone. Otherwise, I will have to stop music and concentrate on my other businesses, which will be my best decision,” he wrote.

Reacting to the post, Kwaw Kese advised that quitting music should not be an option. He suggested that Shatta Wale could instead sell some of his luxury assets, including cars, and reinvest the proceeds into his craft.

“My son, sell one of your cars and invest in yourself. Or come, make I give you some acres of land to farm,” he stated.

The exchange has generated significant reactions on social media, with many users debating Shatta Wale’s comments and whether his lifestyle could affect potential investor interest in his music career.

The discussion has also sparked speculation online about possible tensions or a developing rift between the two artistes.
