According to him, his focus remains on growth and longevity rather than current success, adding that he still considers himself at the early stages of his musical journey.
“I am nowhere near where I want to be koraa. That is the interesting thing. It is about the journey in the first place. I am nowhere close to Daddy Lumba or Amakye Dede. I have just started the journey. I want to get to Daddy Lumba’s level and even surpass him. When Lumba dies, you will see people from all over the world coming to mourn him. I want to be remembered as Kuami Eugene,” he said.
Kuami Eugene indicated that his ultimate goal is to achieve legendary status in Ghanaian music, particularly within the highlife genre, and to be remembered for his impact on the industry.
His remarks highlight his determination to build a lasting legacy, as he continues to work on expanding his influence both locally and internationally.
