Ghanaian media personality MzGee has opened up about what she describes as a painful experience involving actress and television host Nana Ama McBrown during her stint as host of United Showbiz on UTV.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, which gained widespread attention on social media on May 20, 2026, MzGee alleged that McBrown failed to support her publicly amid backlash from viewers following the change in hosts.
According to MzGee, she reached out to McBrown before accepting the role as host of United Showbiz, informing her about the opportunity and seeking her approval out of respect.
She explained that many viewers wrongly assumed she was responsible for McBrown’s departure from the programme, leading to intense criticism and online attacks directed at her.
MzGee stated that despite receiving McBrown’s blessing privately before taking over the show, she was disappointed that the actress did not publicly clarify the situation when criticism escalated on social media.
