How many times have you seen McBrown defend herself against social media attacks? — D Slim to MzGee

Speaking on his podcast Street Is Watching, DJ Slim argued that McBrown was under no obligation to publicly intervene in the controversy, stressing that the actress is not known for responding to social media attacks, even when they are directed at her personally.

He questioned expectations placed on McBrown to speak out, saying, “How many times has she come out to defend herself from online controversies? She doesn’t even defend herself when people drag her on social media, so why should she be expected to defend MzGee?”

DJ Slim also noted that McBrown had already left Despite Media for Onua TV, suggesting she was no longer connected to issues surrounding the programme.

According to him, this meant she had no professional or moral responsibility to get involved in disputes related to the show after her exit.

He further argued that MzGee should appreciate the platform she inherited, insisting that United Showbiz was a brand McBrown helped establish and grow during her tenure.

“The best she did was to leave a seat and a platform you benefited from. You should be grateful instead of being entitled,” he said.

DJ Slim also questioned whether MzGee had ever publicly supported McBrown during past controversies, suggesting expectations of loyalty should be mutual.

He added that if there were any personal issues to be discussed, they should have been handled privately rather than through public commentary, noting that the level of closeness between them did not warrant expectations of public defence.
