The brother of late actress and entrepreneur Beverly Ama Afaglo-Baah has disclosed that she stopped taking medication during her final days because of her unwavering faith in divine healing.

Speaking at a one-week remembrance vigil held in her honour on Saturday, May 30, Caleb Afaglo described his sister as a deeply spiritual woman who remained steadfast in her belief that God would restore her health despite her medical challenges.

According to him, Beverly had grown weary of the frequent medical procedures she endured and chose to place her trust entirely in God.

“Ama refused medication because she believed God was going to heal her. She was a woman of faith. She was tired of the poking on her arms, legs, and hands, and strongly believed that God was going to give her peace,” he said.

The vigil, held at the Green Flavour Events Centre in Community 9, Tema, drew family members, friends, colleagues and several personalities from Ghana’s entertainment industry, who gathered to celebrate her life and legacy.

Mourners, dressed predominantly in black and red, participated in worship sessions, scripture readings, musical performances, tributes and a sermon dedicated to the memory of the late actress.

The event became particularly emotional during a torch-lighting ceremony and the release of balloons, with many attendees visibly moved as they paid their final respects.

Among the notable personalities present were Selassie Ibrahim, Nikki Samonas, Gloria Osei Sarfo, Vivian Jill Lawrence, Roselyn Ngissah, Portia Asare, Pascal Amanfo, Salinko, Joselyn Dumas, Vicky Zugah, Kalybos, John Dumelo, Eunice Banini and Salma Mumin, all of whom joined family and loved ones in honouring Beverly Afaglo-Baah’s life and contributions to the entertainment industry.
