The family of late Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo has appealed to the public to refrain from spreading false information and speculation surrounding her death.
In a statement released by her sister, Elorm, the family expressed disappointment over what it described as misleading stories circulating on social media concerning the actress’s illness, treatment, and the circumstances leading to her passing.
According to the statement, the family is going through an extremely difficult period and is asking the public to show empathy, understanding, and respect as they mourn their loved one.
They further urged people to remember Beverly Afaglo for her bravery, love for her family, and dedication to her children rather than focusing on unverified reports online.
Earlier information shared by her management indicated that the actress passed away on Saturday night at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema after battling cancer for two years. She was 42 years old.
Her manager, Iddris, disclosed that Beverly was initially diagnosed with breast cancer, which later reportedly spread because of its genetic nature.
Despite her health challenges, he said the actress remained determined to continue working and caring for her family throughout her treatment journey.
Since news of her passing emerged, tributes have continued to pour in from colleagues within Ghana’s entertainment industry, many of whom have praised her resilience, talent, and contribution to the country’s movie industry.
