Samsonwaa, a vibrant member of the “Team Legal Wives,” a well-known fanbase supporting Akosua Serwaa, the first wife of the late musician Daddy Lumba, has questioned the organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards and Charterhouse over the appearance of Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu (popularly known as “2Pac”) on stage alongside Daddy Lumba’s children during the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award in honour of the late musician.

At the just-ended Telecel Ghana Music Awards 2026, Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu was seen on stage with the children of the late Daddy Lumba to receive the award on his behalf. However, Samsonwaa is questioning whether “2Pac” was officially invited by Charterhouse to participate in the presentation.

She suggested that the public appearance could create the impression that “2Pac” is still recognised as the head of the family.

“Charterhouse, did you invite the children of Daddy Lumba only, or did you officially invite ‘2Pac’ as well? We need an explanation,” she said.

According to Samsonwaa, failure by Charterhouse and the organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards to explain the situation could trigger action from the “Team Legal Wives.”

“If we, Team Legal Wives, decide to take action, Charterhouse won’t be able to contain us. So Charterhouse should come out and clarify whether you invited this man or just the children, because this man is not part of the children. Do you know why he came to do that? ‘2Pac’ wants to position himself so that when they go to court, he will be seen as the Abusuapanin. That is why he is following the children everywhere,” she alleged.

She also questioned a statement made by “2Pac” during his speech about one of his nieces, saying she found the comment unclear and required clarification.

“We are very careful about everything. When you say ‘things are not going on well,’ it means a lot. So come and explain,” she added.

It was earlier speculated that Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu had been destooled as the head of the Ekuona Royal Family of Parkoso and Nsuta and replaced by Abusuapanin Kwabena Brefo. However, the reports were strongly denied by supporters of the former.
